There's probably weeks, even a month or so that I'll only do that route. Never had a problem. mowog 02-28-2005, 08:59 PM My only concern is getting 9 qts of oil hot enough to burn off water and fuel. I have an Audi allroad with a 4.2 that also uses 9 quarts of oil and has an oil temp guage. I'm surprised at how long it takes to get the oil to 250 degrees. I think as long as you take a long drive every few weeks you should be OK. Our E300 does mostly short trips also and we make sure to use it for a long drive or a full days errands every so often.
