For my 2002 CLK320, with COMAND 2.0, it appears there are two models of CD changer that will work correctly (or is that incorrect?). It appears the original changer is the MC3198, MB part #....7989, which works on CLKs from 99 to 02. Then there's the MC3010, MB part #...9089, which I'm told is simply a newer model, but completely compatible. The MC3198 mounts in the trunk only and the MC3010 mounts in the glovebox. From what I've read, my power and D2B cable are likely to be pre-wired to the trunk well where the changer is normally installed for that model year. Can I use an MC3010 and still trunk mount it? Am I missing something?

I'm fairly certain you need to get the older trunk only model to ensure compatability. The 208 is based on the 202 chassis and I haven't seen a 202 with a glovebox mounted changer.
