what's diamond cut?

hi guys, i am new here. I wanna get rim for my G500. and i hear some people talking about diamond cut. Could any body tell me what's diamond cut?? or what's it look like?

its a machined finish that has a lustre to it. not mirror polished but shinier than regular 1000 grit machined metal
