Any insight on lowering the 2001 ML430. I did some research and it shows that the springs to be used are the Eibach or the H&R. I understand that the Eibachs for the ML has been discontiued so that leaves the H&R. I'm looking for at least a 2 inch drop. Any information on this??

I have not done any aftermarket lowering of these vehicles.

I am wanting to lower my ML430 and am not sure if I will need new shocks or any other components to complete the drop?

Hi
I have a '99 Ml230 and '02 ML55 Amg both lowered, I just changed the springs for the ones Kleemann has, looks really good and is fairly cheap, I think around $250

i lowered my 03 ML320 with Bilstein w H&R springs.
As you know (or may not) the front suspension does not have springs, only the rear. the front can be lowered by adjusted manually. the rear can down abour 1.5-2.0 in the back after it settled fora couple weeks. not many choices but the H&R are better. you'll love the ride too. i hated the factory ride and ride height. taking turns and highway driving was much more comfortable also. i'de go for it ..
