My brakes are starting to squeal again, so it sounds like it's getting high-time to replace the pads.

When I took my car to Rallye Motors (in Long Island), last time, they charged me something near $600 to replace front and rear brake pads (parts + labor).

I have no idea if this is reasonable for a 2002 C230K.

Thats a little bit more than i charge, but not totally unresonable. What's the breakdown (price of parts, how many hours labor at how much per hour)?

Also, brake noise on your car has absolutely nothing to do with how long they have left. You have electronic brake sensors that will trigger a warning in you instrument cluster when it is time to replace the pads.
