How to use the Workshop CDs [Archive]

OK. I bought a set of Mercedes Benz "Workshop" CDs. They have
WIS ASRA on the front, and it is a 2 CD set.
Problem is I cannot get either of my CD/DVD rom devices to read them
Not the IBM or Apple.
Is there something about these two that I don't know? Is there a priprotary CD or DVD drive that these have to be run from?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Jim, I wish I knew the answer. I have heard that proprietary hardware and/or software is needed, and I have heard that the cd-roms should work in any computer.
