HAve Code But Cannot see LCD screen [Archive]

The LCD on my factory radio in my '96 C220 is totally bled over...can't see anything but a big grey blotch. The radio is locked out due to a battery diconnection for service. I have the Code, but what's the procedure if I can't read anything on the LCD?
