I have a '96 C220. I just removed both sides of the trunk liner and can't find the factory amp. DO I even have one? My system is 100% factory. I have the 4 door speakers and the 2 woofers on the rear deck with the one subwoofer on the rear driver's side deck.

I don't know about the 202's, but the 203's don't have a separate amp on the base stereos. Only the Bose systems have a separate amp.

2001 to 2004 C class cars have a separate stereo amplifier if equipped with the Bose system. Cars without Bose have the amp built into the headunit.

I'm pretty sure your car doesn't have a factory amp. Built into the head unit, buddy.

i have a 99 clk320 with factory bose sound system and was wondering where my stock amp is located?

i added a sub and amp but do not know where to hook the remote wire. since my setup's located in the trunk, i don't want to drag any wires to the front. i tried tapping the remote wire to my factory cd-changer but then my amp stays on constant. where else can i connect the remote to?

thanks for any help!

I see in my schematics for the 190E that there is an Active Bass option starting year 91. I found a salvage car 93 model and want to add the active bass system to my 89.

Where can I find the amplifier on the 93?
