Hello all,
Im new to this forum but have always liked MBZ's, and am now the owner of a 1965 190c (woo hoo 80 hp). Anyways, as it has been heating up where I live I managed to make it through the summer......but for the next, I would like to have some A/C. I read about thes r134 conversions..........what are they, and how much do they cost?

Cheers!

R134 conversion is for an exisiting, older r12 system. The r12 freon became very expensive due to the EPA restricting its use. The R134 freon is what is used in the new cars' a/c systems and the gas can be used in many older systems with some retrofitting. I have not heard of good results in more modern Benz systems using the r134 conversions, but the older benzes might be OK since they were different systems.

If your car does not have any A/C at all, you can look into some aftermarket systems, but they can be costly and cosmetically challenged.
