After researching a number of sources, including the Tire Rack, am considering the Turanza LS for my 91 420sel. Currently have Michelins and have never owned Bridgestones. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I personally am not a big fan of the Turanza lineup. The car came with Michelins (as most MB's do) and should probably remain equipped thusly.
