I have dedicated sets of winter and summer wheels and tires. I will soon swap the summer set with the winter ones. Should I balance the winter wheels before putting them on?

My wheels were balanced when I purchased them last winter (Nov, 2004). After a few months of use (regular wear and tear) and driving in Montreal (pothole city), the balancing should be at least a bit off. Do you agree?

They won't go out of balance in storage. I don't see the need to balance them

I would drive on them and see if you have any vibration. If it feels good, I wouldn't spend the money balancing them.
