Hello Everyone
I plan on purchasing a winter wheel & tire setup and I'm looking for some advice
I live in the northeast and our snowy days consist of snow in the morning, slush in the afternoon as the temperature goes up, then the slush starts to freeze in the late afternoon and then we get freezing rain on top of it all for the ride home
I need a tire that works well for an S420, and if I had to choose one area I need the tire to excel in it would be the slush/freezing rain portion
Please advise
thanks

I use Nokian WR. My friend has been using this company for a while with his BMWs. At first i was a bit skeptical but last winter i decided to purchase a set and can not thank him enough. In about a foot of snow i was able to accelerate of the line better then SUV next to me. Still have to be extremely careful on corners, rear wheel drive still makes you slide easily but over all, they are just outstanding. I had Dunlop Winter Sport M3 on C230 coupe that i had previously and that was very good, but Nokians blow them away. And Nokian WRs are all season, not winter. Just imagine what their winter tires can do. Nokiantyres.com

I've been a big backer of Nokians for some time now. After driving my friend's modified M3 equipped with Nokians in some exceptional crappy Chicago alleys in the dead of winter I've been a believer. They're winter tires will handle the worst stuff out there with ease. Might be overkill for areas that only get a dusting, but if you need a real winter tire for horrid conditions, these have your name on them.

I have a set of Pirelli 210 Wintersport tires on my SL500.

Work great in snow and don't seem like snows in the dry.

I've had Nokian's on my Toyota MR2....they rock too.
