I just purchased a Pioneer AVIC-D1 double din Nav unit for my 2004 C230K Sedan. The stereo shop claims there is no double din mounting adaper/kit available for my vehicle. The current factory system is the stock MB untit (single din) with a storage tray underneath it. I also have a 6 disc changer in the glove box. No phone or Bose system. I have already changed out the factory speakers with Infinity. My C230 is an early 2004 Model that came out prior to the new redesign with new gauges and radio. They want $800 to fabricate something for me. Does anybody have any sources or info on how/where to purchase something that will work? Thanks

Metra and Scoshe make double DIN faceplates for our cars, but they may have to be modified a little.
