I find it amazing the number of messages on this forum that goes unanswered. One would think that forum members would want to welcome new, or potentially new, SL owners by answering simple questions. I have been a member of the E9 & E24 BMW forums for well over a year and, by far, find those members more interested in helping people with their passion and hobby.

First, welcome to the forum. I am sorry that you have not received a response to your other post seeking opinions about buying an early SL. Most of the members here have C-class cars or other more recent models. It is likely that no one has any direct experience with the car you ask about and therefore can not offer anything specific. :wink:

I agree with you there. It seems a lot of people view the threads but no one posts replies. I am a member of the 4WD monthly forum in Aussie land and you can't post without someone replying straight away trying to put you down or knowing something better than you. At least you get replies.
But stick with it for a while. Some people might just use the net occasionally or they are having problems with their provider like me.

This forum is very slow to get any posts at all. I'll check back next year. I might even be in trouble in one thread for bagging the yanks.
