My friend has a 560SL that has a short somewhere and he is killing himself trying to find it. Want to know if someone else has had the same problem.

Fuel and temp gauge work fine. However, when you turn on the signals, both gauges pulse (needles move) to the flashing light. If you turn on the headlight, the fuel gauge shows 'full' and the temp gauge also moves.

Any thoughts?

First thought was bad ground, but he has the dash apart on the bench, and hasn't found it yet.

Not something I'm familiar with. My experience with the older models is pretty limited, though.
