Has anyone experienced a loud "klunking" noise from the rear of their car when they go over bumps? My kompressor 230 (sedan) makes a loud noise, similar to something falling off the car at all speeds when I hit a bump in the road?

I have read that it may be a "broken shock mount" from other postings, but since I have changed the suspension, I am afraid that it wil void the warrenty. Do you think I will have a problem, or is this something that I could verify and fix? (FYI, I had a local speed shop change the suspension, I did not do it myself.) Thanks!!

You may have a bad sway bar link. That will typically make a similar clunk to what you describe. If the suspension is all modded out, you may encounter a headache in terms of warranty.

so how do u fix this noise ?? i also get some clunking noise in the right rear .. do i need to change the links how can u fix this.

I have the same problem. But it appears its my shock (koni) Is there anyway to see if its the sway bar link

I have an appointment to have MB look at my car next Friday. I am curious to see what it is and to see if they will warranty it. I don't think it is a bad shock. I have H & R's not Koni, so I will let you know what I am told. Thanks!!

The link will be either broken or loose if there is a problem with it. They are inexpensive and an easy fix, so if you are out of warranty and don't want to get a proper diagnosis, it is a good place to start.
