My E-430 has 102,00 mi. and it a marvel to drive. But, it has been very expensive to maintain. Now, I'm looking at even more expense. I have an upper oil pan seal and and an engine rear main seal leaking some oil. How much is it going to cost to get this done? Can the work be done by non-merecedes certified mechanics? :?:

It will be quite expensive to fix both of those. The transmission has to be pulled to do the rear main seal. A main oil pan is quite the PITA as well and would take a good day or two to do as well. An independant could do these repairs if you can find one reputable. I wouldn't let just anyone do it.
