A few days ago after shredding my driver's side rear tire on the freeway my passenger side rear tire has started doing something that almost feels like its "jumping" or "shaking" when I turn right and unweight the passenger side. This doesn't happen when I turn left and the weight is all on that tire, but when I turn right and it's on the inside, the lack of G-force on that side seems to let the tire skip or jump. I'm wondering if it could be a tire balance issue, or its the fact that I have a slight variation in tire sizes on my rear axle. I was thinking it could be something in the suspension or brake assembly, but I really can't imagine what it could be. Any ideas or similar experiences?

Also on a different note, this seems to be a problem with my driveshaft and I have read something about it on here. First of all I hear the "rumbling" or "humming" between 65-80 mph that others have described. Also, if I open the throttle and then close it, I hear a sort of a mechanical clunk that seems to be right under my seat where the driveshaft connects to something else. Im thinking one of the bolts where its connected might be lose? Anyone also have any ideas on this?

Did your L/R tire blow out due to belt separation? Perhaps your R/R tire is separating as well. I've never seen tire balance being an issue only when you turn. I'd look at having your tires inspected, and if that doesn't show anything, perhaps rebalancing them might be in order.

As far as your other issue, perhaps your flex disks are toast. What year's the car and how many miles does it have?

its an 89 300E with around 175k on it. For an update, I switched both my front tires to the rear and both my rears to the front and the problem is persisting. This pretty much complicates the situation considering I didn't have any problems with the front tires. Also yes the L/R did seperate. The first hard-rubber layer basically peeled off the steel belting. It happened doing around 80 mph but the tire itself didn't blow out, it was just down to the steel belt but still holding pressure. I heard the piece that seperated slapping my inner fender so I pulled over. It seperated because the negative camber wore down the inside more than the outside and it just gave in. And as I mentioned before, I had two different tire sizes on the rear axle but now since I switched them they are the same and the problem is still there.
