Left side is release and will not close, Right side will not release, moving release lever in car have no effect. is there anyway to open the engine compartment. thank in advance

Try grabbing the release cable with a set of vice grips and pull hard. That should pop it open. You probably need a new release cable.

I try vicegrip it still would not open, I remove left wheel and splash shield reach behind head light to release lever pull on left lever and hood pop open, problem was cable pop out of lever, had to replace hood cable.
