1990 300E changing Water Pump [Archive]

I had a big problem this weekend I was driving and as I took the exit my car stoped. there was no water in Radiator and car had over heated after adding the water found out my Water Pump was leaking. I towed the car home and trying to change Water Pump can anyone help

1990 300E
What tools will I need?
Does Benz have Special tools that I will need?
What Dammage could I have done to the car?
