Hi all,
Need your expertise on a trunk issue on a 92 600SEL. I pupped it open this morning and when tried to close, it seemed like the latch/power assist didn't shut the lid. I pushed the latch in the "locked" position by pushing it down manually and locked/unlocked a few times with the key, now it's stuck in the locked position and doesn't open. Any ideas how to release it? My rear window was malfunctioning and I'm in process of replacing the regulator, could it be related? Thanks.

Probably not related to the window. It can be quite difficult to break in once the latch sticks. I would seek professional help on this one. I can't remember the exact process (been years) but I do remember it was not an easy DIY.
