hello i've bought 1996 C220, here what i see:

car works well, very well, engine works smooth too....but

i can see that on idle tachometer gauge is going a little up and down, from 7 to 5 RPM, why is it so???

i've took the car to the shop for computer diagnostics, the computer showed error like.... engine doesnt work clearly... something like that...

can u say me what it can be??

thanks

Vacuum leak? This probably isn't the most scientific (or really the safest test), but I'd let the car run with the hood open and spray some brake cleaner around its various nooks and crannies. If you hear a slight surge in one area, you've localized a vacuum leak. What do the ignition components look like?

well, one electrician who was tuning my AC said that my car works on high RPM... but if i look at tachometer, it is not on high RPM, the arroy is floating between 8 and 6....

and one thing... can this little thing be the reason of big fuel expense?

and could u please tell me how many liters for 100km, my C220 MUST eat in the city drive?

thanks!

well, electrician looked at my car, he fixed its computer...

one day it was ok, but later...

tachometer gauge is again going up and down, and!! there is some little shacking in car...

what could the problem be??? why is it shacking a little when working on idle??

any ideas??

and one question, when car is in P position and working on idle, and on D position but with brake pressed... are these two idle modes different or no???

i mean must RPM differ on these modes??

thanks!!!
