I just bought my first gas Benz (my others are diesel). I found a '72 280SE and the price seemed right, so, WTH? I would appreciate some help with some things.

1. All of the heater levers are broken off, except for the one that directs air between windshield and floor. What is involved in fixing this?

2. The factory radio is there, but doesn't work. I don't mind a later model Becker, but I'm not going to put some aftermarket piece of junk into a classis. Will a later market fit?

3. Twighlight zone: the air conditioner light comes on at highway speeds when I let up on the gas. Any thoughts?
