ive got a beautiful 96,000 mile 1975 450 se. his name is jack. its a bit roughed up on the bottom from rust and salt but its beautiful in my eyes.
i want to know how to best take care of it. ive been often taking it for checkups and getting little improvements, but recently my mechanic suggested i take it in to get the engine cleaned so he could better detect a leak. i know of the dangers of getting a high pressure wash and i want to know if i should be doing this or if there is somewhere suggested that i should take it to that wouldnt put the car at risk...? or what i should do about this. im not sure but it looks as if the engine hasnt been cleaned in ages.
i live in brooklyn an i also heard about some guys named soul brothers mercedes in ft greene area. anyone know about them?
if not could someone suggest some (fairly honest) mercedes experts in the area.

would appreciate any advice.
