In most European countries, governments are offering the equivalent of $3000 to scrap an old car to buy a new model.

So if I scrap this old model they will give me $3000 :rolleyes:

A similar program has been recently implemented in the U.S. If you weren't so far away, I'd offer a generous $3500.

The German Abwrack Prämie (wrecking bonus) s 2,500 Euro = 3,500+ USD

What most people do not realise is that the governments concerned put up half the money, so in fact we the taxpayers are subsidising new cars for other people :(
