I have recently had problems with my earlier 1993 R129 SL500 behaving badly due to me disconnecting the battery when I do not use the car.

I do not have an expensive sophisticated scanner only a very cheap 99cent 12 volt LED which I connect to the 38 pin diagnostic socket mounted in the engine bay to read and erase error codes.

I'm sure that my recent episode would have cost me major money if I had to take the car to a dealer.

I will find photos of this cheap scanner and a list of the DTC codes and post back into this thread.
