I really need some expert help here. I am new to the forum and need advice on a 1972 350SL with a V8. I have a lot of mechanical experience with most anything automotive, but I have no practical experience with Mercedes.
The car is 2000 miles away from me, all I have seen so far is pictures. The car is a 1972 350SL with a V8, automatic trans, soft top. The owner brought it over from Italy in 1984. It does not have American spec bumpers, the car appears to be in unbelievable condition considering it's age. It has 56,000 miles and does not appear to have any rust I could see from the pictures.
What do I need to look out for if I buy this car? I plan to fly up to WA and drive it back to TX.
