Hi This is my first post on this board even though i've been reading through the posts for a few months now, waiting for my car. This board helped answer a lot of my questions I had about the car and I want to thank all of you guys especially the moderators. I just picked up my c230 last week and I love it. It is truly an awesome deal for the price even though my total came to $48k.

Anyways, I find the stock audio system sufficient but I want to have a little more bass. Can anyone tell me in a bit of detail how to take out the Stereo Head Unit and how to remove the door panels? Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated, thanks. :D

Here is a link to some instructions on removal of the head unit. If you are planning on replacing the head unit with an aftermarket unit, you will lose the use of the steering wheel buttons. If you have the cd-changer, it will not work with an aftermarket head unit.

I have not seen instructions to remove the door panels.

This shows the installation of a Becker Audio 10 cd player, but the removal of the cassette is the same.

By the way, the Audio 10 is supposed to sound better than the Alpine cassette head unit. I will be getting one in a few weeks.
