Anyone know that if I need to break in for my new C230?
The saleman told me that all the MBs have already break in when the cars were in the factory.
However, another told me maybe just for safe, run about 1,000 m to keep it safe.

Personally, I would treat it like any other New car, and take it easy for the first 1500 or so miles, breaking it in properly.

During the first 1,000 miles, vary your speed and try not to go above 60 mph. Your engine will thank you with reliable service 50,000 miles down the road.

really? what happens if we kinda push it for like the first couple hundred.....i drive freeway often so i have to go around or above that speed. i just got my car like two months ago and i feel like i'm gonna "break it" ....hurt it in the long run i guess.

If it is 2 months old and you do that much driving I would think is is already broken in...Time to have a little fun now.

oh good. cuz people were telling me you shouldn't go on freeway or when you do go don't go too fast, but i had to use it a lot when i first got it and i had to do some major driving on the freeway like in the first week i got it, but i figure now, it's been two months since i have been doing that and in the long run i still want it to be in good condition.

It is my understanding that the primary purpose of a break-in is to insure that the piston rings are seated properly. The effects of an improper break-in arise thousands of miles down the road.
