- i have an '83 300TD wagon and the fan does not work - blows hot air at speed if thermostat is set 2 hot - the fuses are fine - what's going on ?

Welcome to Benzforum. The blower fan for the A/C and Heat in these cars does tend to go bad frequently. The problem is the brushes in the fan motor are worn out. If you lightly tap the bottom of the fan, it may work briefly, but this doesn't cure your problem. If you are a thriving do-it-yourselfer, you can replace the brushes, if you can find them. If you would like to replace the motor, send me an e-mail at parts@importpartsonline.com and we can get you a new one( beware, they are somewhat expensive, I'm still looking for the gold in them).
