"81" 300D ebay

There is a 81 300D for sale that is only several miles from me.
150K and buy it now for $2k. Seller is 01dreamcatcher
This seems like a fair price and lower miles than most
old 300D's? What will the MPG's be? How many miles should
the engine/tranny last? Any problem areas?

Engine with good care should go for about 350-400K miles or so, the tranny about half that, more if you are lucky. I would not buy a 1981 model when you can buy an 82 or later model with the turbo for about the same $$$. The turbo makes a lot of difference.

I agree with the previous post. The turbo makes a world of difference in "real life" driving.
