I have a 1999 E320 with heated front seats. The cushion on the dirivers seat just stoped working. Back cushion and passenger cushions work well.

Is this a common problem? I have found nothing posted on the web on this. Has anyone fixed this before? Do I need to take the seat apart or is there a seperate relay?

Probably a blown heating padding...the heating is done per wiring circuit in the padding and it is possible that one of the loops blows...
The cushion and backrest are 2 different loops connected at the same powerlead at the base of the seat...if 1 of the 2 loops does not heat up anymore it is a problem in that loop...not a problem in the wiring of relay prior to the seat.

You will probably end up needing a new leather cover which has the heated padding sewn in.
