I travelled a lot between cities (500 KM one way) and with my old car, I noticed a lot of stone chips on the hood of my car.

Now, I just purchased a new 2004 MB and I am wondering if it's a good idea to install these 3M plastic on the hood. My new car will be bright silver, I hope it will not show the plastic too much.

I just took delivery of a 2004 clk55 amg and it came with autobahn plastic on the front. I think it looks great. Seems like a small investment to protect an even greater investment. Good luck.

What color is your new CLK55? What is the width of the plastic (how many inches from the front)? Is the line (partition where the plastic ends) obvious? Any of this plastic on the front fender, bumper?
