Just picked up my new 2004 CLK-320, the car is gorgeous. I have the standard 16-inch all season and I found the suspension too soft as compared to the previous car (1998 Honda Prelude SH).
Now, I plan to upgrade to 17-inch tires next summer. I hope this will stiffen the ride? Any suggestions?

Had you added the Sport option, you would have gotten stiffer springs, control arms, etc.
There are several companies selling springs, shocks, and swaybars.
There is only an appearance package for the CLK which is different than the C-class. It includes only the 17-inch tires and different exhaust tip. I did not buy it because I did not like the shinny alumimum finish it has in the centre console. I prefer the wood trim.
Now, someone told me to get the sway bar of the AMG CLK55. What do you think?
The CLK 55 sway bars should be somewhat larger. They would reduce body roll without stiffening the ride.
