I had new tires put on my 300E and the chrome was flaking inside (some outside too) so they had to be cleaned. My mechanic said it was from the salt air at the beach, from prior owner location.
Had slow leak still so they replaced the valve stem. Took it back and they found a pinhole in the rim, leaking air to the outside.
I want to replace the rim but having problems locating a chrome rim for my car. Is there any way to stop the leak until I find a replacement rim?
Or is there a way to have my rims fixed and rechromed in Southern California? Thanks!
