I've been asking around at some of my local Benz maintenance shops, and I appear to have a "special" situation with my car. For about the past four months, when the temperature would drop below 35 degrees, day or night, the parking lights on my car would come on (parking lights= rear lights and front parking lights). At first this did not appear to be much of a problem because, one, it was happening at most once a week, and two, it was not draining the battery to an inoperative degree. Over the past two weeks, however, this problem has gotten progressively worse, as the temperature has gotten progressively warmer, therefore my initial hopes that the problem would go away for the time being when the weather warmed up, are now out the window. The lights have come on now for five straight days, each day with temperatures ranging between 40 and 55 degrees. Is this a sign that some scheduled maintenance is due, or the forshadowing of worse things yet to come? If anyone has any idea what may be wrong, I would greatly appreciate any advice.
