I recently had the distributor and rotor changed on my 300E but the shop did not change the plasitc cover that goes over the distributor. I think it's called the suppressor housing. It has a crack in it but the shop insists that the cover is just cosmetic. Is this the case or does it have some prformance issue? Thanks BK

The cover is cosmetic. It might help keep the cap and wire ends clean.
