Are there any known issues? When slowing down to almost a stop, my car seems like it downshifts then upshifts then downshifts again, within a sec. of each other, while still braking. It has been doing it a lot lately. Car is a 10/03 build and has 3,000+ miles on it.
Anybody else has this problem? Is there a fix?
TIA

I have 2003 C230k Sedan aswell, and it has the same issue. When my car shifts gears, the car jerks heavily. I've brought it to the dealer, but they can't find the problem. If the problem consits, I'm going to ask for a new car.

Guess its just the 2 of us with this problem. So, I'll have to take it to the dealer just to hear them say "Cannot duplicate problem". :x

are you the sole driver of your respective vehicles? in the instances that multiple drivers (or driving styles) are present, the transmission adaptation can get confused a little bit causing some weird shifting habits. they are normally pretty quick to adjust but there are cases of this. Make sure there is a printout of your transmissions adaptations included with the repair order to verify in quantitative terms that there are no abnormalities present. I would suggest if nothing seems out of the ordinary, the fluid level should be checked (i still don't buy this sealed transmission stuff) and the trans adaptations should be reset. drive it for a while and see if there is any difference. it is unlikely but not impossible that there is a slight internal malfunction in your trans (i put a new 722.6 in one of my MB's at 50K). you could even post the trans adaptation printouts on this forum and i could read them for you and give you an unbiased opinion as to their deeper meaning.

My wife drives the car most of the time. I just get to drive it on weekends (and definitly different driving styles!). She hasn't complained about it recently nor have I experienced it again. I will need to ask her tonight. When I take it in for service, I will certainly ask for the trans adaptation printouts. And thanks for your offer of reading them for me.
