I just bought a 300TE-24 and the cruise control doesn't work. It's been unplugged because when it is plugged in, the motor gets very very hot. I tried to get a replacement motor but was told the 300TE-24 never had cruise as an option, so my cruise was fitted independently of M-B.

Is this true? Was this car never offered with cruise? It's a UK model, first registered in December 1991.

I did look at the new online parts list but the 300TE-24 is not there.
