I have had my 1997 C180 off the road for a few months and when I started to drive it again the cruise control only works intermitantly - prior to having the car off the road it worked perfectly. I have noticed that when the CC works it will continue working perfectly until I turn off the engine - then it does not work when I restart. It can be a few days until it works again but it is always the same - if it works immediately after starting the car then it continues until I stop the engine.
I think it is not the CC operation switch or break pedal limit swith as I have tried to short this out for test purposes (without effect) .
I also notice that the mute on the radio cassette does not work - this is not a problem but I just mention in case there is a connection. :?:
I would greatly appreciate any sugestions or advice.
