driving down the road 80mph my cars(c230k) dash lit like a christmas tree stalled then restarted itself. I was directly next to a truck. I initially thought maybe the truck had some outrages signal amp that induced voltage on the cpu causing it to reboot, Although now it seems when I push the pedal just enough to stay at a constent speed the engine surges. I have heard the cpu on this car could be talked to with hyperterminal anyone try this and if so direction on the settings. Any ideas or similiar problem results would be appreciated.

You can read the error codes through the OBDII port using a laptop with the proper software. Unless you know what those codes mean, it won't be of much use though. It sounds like you need to go to the dealer or an independent shop which has a DAS computer.
