Will this place welcome the MBshop style open disussion? Their all at benzworld which is not the place they should be IMO.

As for your other possible identity, I've been lurking a bit over on benzworld, helping with the "in response to TLJ reprise thread", and that seems to be the rumor. The vernacular you use seems to be similar, but I have been mistaken in the past.

Hell, bring the gang over. I would love to have you guys over here. Also, Lynn, the other active mod here, is very cool. He runs MBklasse as well and is a pretty steller character.

Yup, a non-left leaning one at that.

Speaking of The Dead, John Barlow is a libertarian. I read recently that he's voting for Kerry (voted for Bush last time). Too bad. 8)

Mickey Hart lives a couple of blocks from me in Park City. He posted a flyer on the board at our local coffee shop last week looking to carpool to a world music festival. I was tempted just to ride with him for a few hours.

If you would have asked me that question 3 yrs ago, when I had a slow IT desk job -- no problem. Working full time and school? Notta. When MBshop closed OD, I thought of getting away from the PC until winter. Then everyone moved and being a MBshop addict, why I had to follow! :)

Doh! Yeah, you're right. I'm at Comcast SportsNet technical directing the newscasts tonight. We're going live at 1:00 am. That sucks!, but it means I can charge the client for overtime. :)

Come to think of it, I'm working tomorow night too. My last day off was Labor Day Monday. I do have Sunday off... and a date with an angel!

Date with an angel? I married one. They're fine most of the time, but sometimes they're a PITA and then you feel guilty.

There are plenty of threads about refugees from other forums I thought I better get in this one too.
I see Paul S. is here. Someone to talk dogs with. Hey Paul , hows your weiner?¿

My weiner? You mean Pee Wee the wonder weenie dog?

Great, but her age is starting to catch up with her. She turns 8 years old next month, and she can no longer keep up with me on my longer runs. We used to run around this meandering path at a park just below my house, about a 2 - 2.5 mile jog, which she has been doing no problem for the past 5-6 years. I changed my routine about 6 months ago and got a little more serious with my jogging habit (invested in some expensive New Balance running gear  ), and she peters out at about the 3 mile mark. I have to carry her home.

I still take her out to hunt rabbits every night and to play fetch with the tennis ball (she thinks she's a retreiver), but I can't take her running with me anymore.

The crazy thing is that she seems to understand now, the difference between when I put on my running gear and running shoes, and when I am putting on "take the dog for a walk" all-terrain shoes.

It's just like the Kenny Roger's song, "You got to know when to fold 'em, when to hold 'em, when to walk away, and know when to run".

Howdy Paul,
Couldn't remember Pee Wee's name. How is P.W. doing on the cotton tails?¿ Get any lately?¿
My guys seem to know which shoes are for taking the dogs out :)

suginami
10-13-2004, 09:36 PM
She hasn't caught any cottontails in quite a while.

She has chased these rabbits thousands and thousands of times, and they're just too fast for one dog. I think she's bagged two, possibly three, and it was always because of rabbit stupidity, i.e., looking the wrong way when Pee Wee snuck up on them.

If they see her coming, which they generally always do, it's no contest.

Now, give me a pack of weenie dogs, and the odds would be different. :P
