Hello-
I need to drain the last of the nasty old gas from the tank on my '71 280se...it looks like it's a giant hex wrench.
Anybody know what size? Or is there another (more common) tool that I can use?
The tank sounds empty, but when I disconnect the fuel hose between the tank and the pump a steady drip let about 2 quarts of fuel out eventually. I think I should drain out the rest of the (nasty smelly golden colored) old fuel. Anybody know how much would still be in there after the hose nipple on the tank stops dripping?
I could just dilute it with a bunch of new gas...is there any additive recommended that would make it mix better and burn off?
Thanks for your help...and I'll post some photos soon.
James
