C230 Sport, Fan not working

Hi,
can somebody help me, I have a 2006 c230 sport and the radiator fan just stop working, I take the fan off for testing and it works when applied 12v, so what I think could be is the relay, but I do not know where is located if it has relay for the fan, I also read that this car has some kind of fan control unit, but I do not know where is it, can somebody guide me, please.

2002 c230 fan troubleshoot

So I don't mean to take this off topic too much but the image provided above has a red circle around the "fan control unit"? I am having similar problems where the fan unit works fine but the car starts to overheat. all coolant and radiator items have been checked and double checked. why would the fan not turn on when it is supposed to?

The image is from my MB Web ETM. I don't have too much knowledge about your particular model but have you investigated this module highlighted in the image?

the control module is attached to the fan..looking about midway down (on your vehicle not the pic) youll see a metal square that is the control module, which is NOT available by itself i will post a pic of the relay on monday if nobody beats me to it

Your engine temperature sensor is most likely shot.
