"Undervoltage Consumer Defective" warning message

I have a 2001 C320 with 60K miles. Recently I'm getting the "Undervoltage Consumer Defective" warning message. What does this mean?

Undervoltage consumer defective

I have the same error message. Did you ever receive an answer to what this error message means? Is it the battery?
