Need help cooling fan wont shut off 06 C230

Help my cooling fan wont shut off while driving and is extremely loud. It doesnt overheat and I think it's a relay/sensor issue just need to be sure what to do next. Stays on for about 15 seconds after car is turned off. Let me know if anyone can help me with this. Thanks.

It's probably the B12 sensor shown in the diagram below:

The water temperature will remain constant with the fans running permanently, it's when they don't switch on the problems start
The fans are switched on and off by temperature sensors, if a sensor is faulty or disconnected, the fans will either not switch on, or in your case stay on.
If they have been running non stop for any length of time, any increase in noise may be the fan bearings going pear-shaped.

If you are able to do the work yourself, check out that sensor and also the bearings on the fan shaft/s, if not find a good independent Mercedes mechanic, or dig deep and go to the Mercedes dealer.
