S320 New Purchase Maintenance questions

Hello-

I hope this is the right place to post this. If not please adives forum and will post there.

I am a long time Benz owner (mainly diesels) and have purchased a 97 s320. The person I bought it from told me it will need a water pump. I am very mechanically minded when it comes to MB (I have replaced the heater core in an 85 300SD). Is this something that is easy, average, or really a pain as I am trying to determine if I can tackle myself or not.

Additionally, I have notice Cruise control works when the lights are off. That is I can set the cruise and it will engage, if I turn on the headlights, the cruise disengages. Any thoughts?

Lastly, How hard is to replace the window regualtor on the driver side? I had done this in an 85 300SD but the door panel looks looks more intricate.
