2000 ML430 Brake Loght Switch
Bought a 2000 ML 430 two weeks ago, from a car flipper both bad moves after I read everything posted here! But life goes on.
The brake lights do not function, all other lights work front, side, rear.
Yesterday had the recall service for the brake switch,as it had never been done, at Garff Mercedes in SLC. Still no lights, and they didn't catch it! Yikes.
Read somewhere in the forums about a second switch on the master cylinder? Is there a second brake light switch on a 2000 ML430?
I have checked, fuses, relays, bulbs, and their sockets. Still no lights, both tail
lights and the third light.

This forum helped me change out the CPS, but the fix didn't correct the hard start to no starting. Had the fuel pump, filter and the larger hoses installed. The truck runs fine now. Thank you Integrity First Automotive in West Jordan Utah. Damian Shaw is amazing and honest ! Better prices then the dealership and follows up a card and phone calls to answer any questions. All repairs come with a 24 month 24000 miles warranty on their work! Highly recommending them for repairs.
