MB C180 K Fuel Stavation - won't start

I'm new to his forum. I Desperately need advice on what could be the problem for not starting. The fuel pump and fuel filter was replaced but still would not start.

My first guess would be crankshaft position sensor, this sensor gives the signal via the ECU to the fuel pump to turn on. Also it would help if you gave the year for the car so I can look up the fuel pump relay location.
