Winter Driving

I am getting a new CLK-320 and I have decided to install winter tires on existing stock wheels. I think the CLK will look funny with regular steel rims.

I plan to use the stock 4-season tires for next summer only and then upgrade to 17-inch tires the following summer. This way, the stock wheels will be used for winter driving only.

How do I protect my stock wheel against salt/snow?

Never heard about anything but to wash them as often as possible.

A few coats of a polymer sealant such as Zaino or Klasse is good.

So, probably I should apply some car wax to the front of the wheels.
